The Ombre Effect

You may have heard roots are in this season, but its not about just growing out your summer highlights or having unkempt hair for the next six months. It has a name, and its called the Ombre Effect.

In the fashion world, ombre refers to the graduation of color from dark to light, and in this case its no different. Depending on the variation of colors you choose, the effect can be either subtle or intense. For this technique, I prefer to enhance a client's natural color by applying a demi-permanent at the root for shine and richness, then I incorporate hand painted highlights to the mid lengths and ends.

Ombre works on every texture and tone. Whether you're a brunette seeking lightness without a four to six week color commitment, or a blonde on a quest for depth in your color, the ombre effect will give you that beachy, organic look we've all seen in the pages of celebrity magazines.

Keratin Smoothing Treatment

I am so excited about this new smoothing treatment I have been doing in the salon for the past 5 months. Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy encased the hair follicle with a keratin bond to promote healing and helps keep environmental toxins, such as smoke, pollution, and ultra-violet rays, from entering the hair. Balayage
